Current Affairs What is Woke ?

What is it ? What’s wokey ? I see it thrown around a lot but nobody seems to know what it means … does it mean someone is a left leaning hippy or just someone who is switched on to social inequalities and injustices or is it a bunch of kids with rich parents and large trust funds rebelling against ‘the system’ … any help would be appreciated.

The main thing is, it isn't the insult conservatives will have you think. In fact, its more them proclaiming they are racist. People who complain about wokeness is kinda the same as the folks who wear MAGA hats. Easy to identify.

Correct. The trouble is that it becomes a bit obsessive for some who search for reasons to be insulted and perceive nothing jokes, comments or genuine opinions to be:-
Misogynist
Anti LBGT+
Racist
They then cancel people like Rowling or destroy the careers of people like the man who wrote Father Ted. This gives the vile Farage's of this world good reason to attack. Be careful to what degree you are decent because attacking normal people for genuine non-aggressive views is aggressive in itself and weakens the argument.
