He’s letting his career “breathe”I'm thinking he might not care or he is recovering from his injury.

Yes. It's a reasonably expressed opinion. I too find it astonishing that there are still people around who think it is plausible that Dele Ali will somehow prove his readiness to play prem football again within the next ten days, when he's spent the last two years proving he can't.And you think a post that starts 'I can't believe there is anybody out there who thinks...' is a reasonably expressed opinion mate?!

It's not like people didn't say is it?
Damo is that Ancelotti dressed up?
Rehab is fine - it's the right thing to do. But a contract? His opportunity here has been and gone. If he wants to play it needs to be somewhere else and I suspect he knows that.I feel sorry for the lad and I hope he can get through this. Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely and I really don't want Everton the waste a penny more on his rehab. Please please don't gamble by giving him a contract, it's a gamble we can't afford to take.
Think I read that pay as you play contracts are not allowed under PL rules though. Could be wrong. Is there a way around that, like giving him an actual contract on very low wages and giving him appearance bonuses?I’d offer him a one year pay as you play and if it doesn’t work out we haven’t lost anything.
Lower basic pay rate and appearance bonuses will be the only way we give him a Contract.Think I read that pay as you play contracts are not allowed under PL rules though. Could be wrong. I assume the club knows more than we do how close he is. Probably reasonable to assume, too, that he isn’t blessed with offers from other Premier League clubs and, therefore, won’t be asking ridiculous wages.
If that is true, and if he overcomes his mental issues and gets back to even 60% the player he was, he would still be our best player. He’s still in his 20s and, physically, should be coming into his peak.
He said in his interview he has his eyes on the next international tournament with England and I still think someone could unearth a player, there.
That's a big assumption mate, this is Everton, it's never wise to assume they know what they're doing.I assume the club knows more than we do how close he is.
