I'm just saying it would nice to curse some player other than McNeil.
Mate. Take your pickI'm just saying it would nice to curse some player other than McNeil.
I was only jokingMate. Take your pick![]()
He’s certainly gone a bit past his best and his confidence has wilted. The thing with Deli is you don’t lose your football ability it’s instilled into them, but you lose fitness and confidence. I really wanted it to work for him and find that golden nugget we needed. If there’s still a footballer in him then it’s the mental side he has to concur.
He’s certainly gone a bit past his best and his confidence has wilted.
His desire is likely a bit stale and his skills not as crisp as it once was.
Maybe if he can be fully cured he might get that freshness back.
Unfortunately I think he’s past his sell by date and we shouldn’t we weighing up a new deal.

I’d offer him a one year pay as you play and if it doesn’t work out we haven’t lost anything. He’s certainly gone a bit past his best and his confidence has wilted.

A bit ?
Mate, it's just an opinion, like hundreds and hundreds of opinions on here. Nobody actually wants the bloke to fail, but as others have said, the sheer length of time away from top class football indicates heavily that he won't make it back to that level, even if fully motivated, and we've not no clear evidence that he even has that. No need to get ratty over a reasonably expressed opinion, whether it eventually proves right or wrong.
He’s not bothered mate
I can see that it might come across as a bit callous, but I reckon it probably wasn't intended that way, mate. I'm surprised, myself, at the level of optimism in this thread on the simple grounds that if something hasn't gone right for years, then there's an on-the-face-of-it good case that it isn't gonna happen with one more effort. Then there's the thing that if a player went away to be a monk or something for a very extended period of time, then there's (in my view) only an extremely slim chance that he can get back to the pinnacle that is top level footy. I certainly hope that I and others are wrong, both for the club's sake and the player's, but unfortunately I think we'll turn out to be correct. And you think a post that starts 'I can't believe there is anybody out there who thinks...' is a reasonably expressed opinion mate?!
I don’t think it sounds callous at all ,like saying “ I can’t believe there’s people out there who still think kenwright was a good owner “etc he’s probably just read it wrongI can see that it might come across as a bit callous, but I reckon it probably wasn't intended that way, mate.
