The quality of our corners has been low for a while now.
Arteta could never get past the front post and would put 1 good one in out of every 5...the raise the arm thing used to really annoy me because it basically signalled 'poor corner coming in'.
Baines is no better - his corners are average at best.

Probably the best corner taker was Bily (when he got to take one - they were far too attacking so Moyes took him off corner duty!). Followed by Mirallas when he first arrived - now he's fallen into the near post trap.

Looking at stats though, more corners are scored from front post deliveries that are flicked/nodded on - to which I would argue that is because more corners fail to get past the front post and therefore have to be nodded on - to the back post! I digress!

Basically - our corners are poor and Baines is no exception.

very good points there, who do you think should take our throw ins? and should they be deep or short, thanks
