I'm seeing the reunited classic lineup of Guided By Voices...one of Jdawg's favorite bands of all time, and one of the best live acts you will ever see. I'm pissing myself in anticipation. I never thought I would get to see them live again. I'm hard.

Game of Pricks is two minutes of guitar pop heaven. I get a bit frustrated by the ramshackled nature of much of their output but "GoP" is just fabulous.

Listening to GBV is a bit like being an antique picker. You have to sort through rooms of junk sometimes to find the gems, because they have no filter. They just write record and release literally everything that comes to mind. Sometimes it's crap, but when it's good, it's the best stuff you've ever heard. I'll put GBV at their best up against any band of all time.
