I'm sorry to say it but my fellow Evertonians are the biggest excuse makers in football possibly world sport, why can't some of them just admit we're shyte instead of bringing up cringe worthy mad stats to try to prove any different, the way some of our supporters have been talking about last night it's as though we were nearly involved in a giant slaying, absolutely shameful

With you on this one, I can't stand how some supporters will turn to one good pass or a good tackle etc to cover up the fact that all season we have been [Poor language removed]!!!!!!!!!!!

Amused by the press love in for west ham at the mo.

Carroll had a "blinder". Noble "dazzled". Adrian a "bargain" buy.

All i recall is Carroll's ineffectiveness. Adrian having a shocker with a free kick. And Noble apparently controlling a midfield that allowed a 10 man side to go 2.1 up.

Just me I guess.

Plus their players were fighting with each other on the pitch at one stage.

Clearly inside the area mate. The linesman flagged the foul but the ref was in the perfect position to see that it was in the area.

We can't really complain about that though....Stones was adjudged to have handled the ball in the second half of regular time and a free kick was given on the edge the box.....replays show the handball was clearly inside the box and it should have been a penno.

No, I don't see any positives about being losers, sorry, and what good is slight improvements if we still can't beat anybody

We were much improved on the last 2 months.

We were away from home, played most of the game with 10 men whilst playing a form side and nearly won it.

We arent man city or chelsea ffs, most other prem teams would be able to take positives from that. Unfortunately, we have so many doom fans they can't see positives in anything unless we win comfortably.

I was right behind the goal that Kev scored in and I videoed the free kick. As soon as possible I'll post a link to the video.

I was actually in shot during the replay and, unbeknown to me, my lenses on my reactalite glasses were black!

Thing is, Stones was withdrawing his hand when the ball hit it and it was anyway tucked as close to his body as possible in those situations. So in this case two wrongs made a right. For the record I didn't think it was a penalty on Mirallas, but definitely an indirect free kick for obstruction inside the box.

The point i was making the other day still stands. For how much we are improving we are still not beating teams home or away, whether it be city or west ham or even hull. No matter how well we play if we arent winning it counts for nothing.

As far as i am concerned the only thing we can take from the game is pride and hope that we fight like that for the rest of the season. Anything after that starts with a win.

Yes, that's why I said Stones was "adjudged" to have handled it rather than flat out say he had handled it.....IMO the ball hit him and there was nowt he could do about it.

Should have been play on.

But once the whistle was blown a penno was the only logical outcome, not a free kick outside the box....:)

I disagree with you about the Kev one....I thought that was a clear cut penno.

Absolutely class performance with 10 men.

Can't help losing on penalties.

Hopefully we can kick on now.

Things learnt:
1. Joel is actually a good keeper
2. McGeady shouldnt be starting
3. Oviedo is better on the wing than Barkley.
4. Our team spirit is back

Team for Monday:

Joel
Coleman Jagielka Stones Baines
McCarthy Besic
Mirallas Naismith Oviedo
Lukaku

Agree with all of that, bluegirl, and like the look of that team too! (y)

I've only just realised this but Distin's kit was up in the changies on that photo before the match, then wasn't even on the bench. Strange.
