While we have improved we have still a way to go. There are still too many weaknesses in the side. Centre forward is obviously an area where we need to bring in some class, Beto has scored a few but the early miss yesterday is unforgivable, he is a slightly worse version of DCL, we need someone more clinical, the summer transfer window should be all about a goal scorer and then, if there is any money left, fullbacks who can contribute going forward. I know this is stating the obvious but Everton seem to recognise the obvious but then tend to overlook it at times.

Thats from all attacking areas too

I love Ndiaye but he's never getting regularly 10 a season. Both wings lack goal threat.

Dyche almost as many derby wins as Moyes.

Shocking.

Royle was here 3 seasons and got us three derby wins and it's taken Moyes 12 seasons to get us one more.

This derby record will define his time here as a manager. That's inevitable if you win nothing. His media fluffers will try and keep it all quiet, but no Evertonian will ever see Moyes as anyone but the manager who 'steadied us, but was the worst derby day manager of all time'.

Manbabies. Plus, that's not right as you complain we never win anything and reckon finishing 10th this season is failure.

Carry on.
He's right though, those two games do mean everything. They were there for the taking and the players and manager let us down.
Of all people on the pitch Wirtz picked up almost every loose ball in midfield and we let him look half decent.
Granted we were doing ok until Barry came on but the Manager knows how bad he is.
I also thought right from the off we gave them too much respect and let Van Djik think he's Rocky, the little gobshite.
The mentality going into the game is down to the Manager.
I actually like Moyes as my comments in his thread show, but this one is down to him, there should have been two footers flying in left right and centre, but we let them play.

That would only be true if other managers had done much better. 4 wins in 10 years during his first stint and 2 wins in 12 years after he left. Terrible for Moyes but also terrible for Everton.

16 derby losses is 16 derby losses.

He's overseen that and he's overseen a pathetic 14% win record over Liverpool.

These figures are shameful. There's no chance of using 'context' to make them anything less than the catastrophe they are.

Moyes should be sacked purely and simply on his derby record alone.

But as I said, our derby record was even worse when he left, so what's the point?

Those managers didnlt have the time that Moyes had/has. Moyes has massive experience of these games. We've played 28 derbies in his time here. That should hand him everything he needs to know about what it takes to win derbies. But Moyes just sat there as the game turned against us and waited for the usual and inevitable loss.

There's no context for Moyes to be defended here. None. His derby record is shameful for him and shaming for our supporters who are left humiliated again. That's down to him.

If you had your way, we would have no boss each year after a Derby
