While we have improved we have still a way to go. There are still too many weaknesses in the side. Centre forward is obviously an area where we need to bring in some class, Beto has scored a few but the early miss yesterday is unforgivable, he is a slightly worse version of DCL, we need someone more clinical, the summer transfer window should be all about a goal scorer and then, if there is any money left, fullbacks who can contribute going forward. I know this is stating the obvious but Everton seem to recognise the obvious but then tend to overlook it at times.
Who cares how we played? We weren't great in any case, btw.
We lost another derby under this serial derby day loser. That's the issue. The result is EVERYTHING.
Sadly another fan giving up as usual this season with 5 games to go
out in the making here.
Dyche almost as many derby wins as Moyes.
He's right though, those two games do mean everything. They were there for the taking and the players and manager let us down.Manbabies. Plus, that's not right as you complain we never win anything and reckon finishing 10th this season is failure.
Carry on.
Shocking.
Royle was here 3 seasons and got us three derby wins and it's taken Moyes 12 seasons to get us one more.
This derby record will define his time here as a manager. That's inevitable if you win nothing. His media fluffers will try and keep it all quiet, but no Evertonian will ever see Moyes as anyone but the manager who 'steadied us, but was the worst derby day manager of all time'.
Sadly another classic moyes season fade out in the making here.
That would only be true if other managers had done much better. 4 wins in 10 years during his first stint and 2 wins in 12 years after he left. Terrible for Moyes but also terrible for Everton.
16 derby losses is 16 derby losses.
He's overseen that and he's overseen a pathetic 14% win record over Liverpool.
These figures are shameful. There's no chance of using 'context' to make them anything less than the catastrophe they are.
Moyes should be sacked purely and simply on his derby record alone.
But as I said, our derby record was even worse when he left, so what's the point?
If you had your way, we would have no boss each year after a Derby16 derby losses is 16 derby losses.
