Ok, so he was unlucky. I wonder how many of us would be supporting him if it was a goal that lost us a place in Europe.

At least he tried to clear it. It's just like a striker stretching for a ball at the other end , getting some boot onto the ball but not getting enough on to change the balls direction. He hit the ball when it was in front and travelling away from him. Very difficult to hook back

Ok, well what I will do is just not have an opinion.

I respect yours and everyone else who likes Hibbert - I just don't think he is good enough for Everton, and it's not an own goal today that has compounded that view it is my general opinion of watching Hibbert over the years.

Sorry Buddy. Who has said we like Hibbert?

Hibbert is NOT good enough for Everton, and we have all said it many times. You are ranting and selecting individual points that may assist your opinion.

This is a thread about todays game, and Hibbertinho was one of our better players today.

He was dam unlucky to slip and it come off his shin. [Poor language removed] happens. Where were Distin, Yobo, and Baines to cancel the need for Hibbert to be there?

I would need to see it again tonight to decide whether or not he slipped, but at first view I just thought he spooned it.

I really can't believe people are blaming Hibbert for that goal.

The assist shouldn't have been allowed to happen in the first place, and Yobo is caught ball watching yet again, and Howard stands his ground rather than come for the ball sooner thinking Yobo will deal with it, and Hibbert, from his own innocent position sprints his ass off and tries to clear the ball. Sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes you don't, but blaming Hibbert is the equivalent of a kitten falling out of a tree, and a man running to try and catch it, but failing to do so. It's not the man's fault the damn kitten was up the tree. At least he had a go while others watched in horror.

The team give the opposition too much time on the ball, except Fellaini and Heitinga, who get stuck in, and as long as the team do that, we'll always have problems.

Trust me Nick. You know I will say it as it is.

And BB. Not many are complaining. You also are picking selective posts.

I said nothing about people complaining.
Perhaps you think it might be better if I had said ' can't believe a person' etc etc. That would be picking selective posts, but thanks for the lecture.

Why is it some many of you insist on stating the obvious such as 'papering over the cracks' 'fortunate today' 'gloom remains', no one in their right mind would suggest that today's win has solved our problems, what it has done is lift our spirits so why deflate the only positive we've had for weeks. WE WON TODAY SO BREATHE EASIER AND ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN................................we've two weeks to worry about the next game
