slipped my arse. He's cracked that home when as a defender he should be clearing it. Not going to defend him, and if anyone else had done the same I would have said the same.

It just so happens that Tony Hibbert has once again shown why he isn't good enough.

You say he was busting a gut, well he didn't do that against Benfica, and he is often found exposed because of lack of awareness. Now if you want to look back through the season you will see that I have praised Hibbert where it was due, but those who know me will know that I don't not criticise a player just because they are Everton players.

I watched the match. And the replays. I guess you have better ideas.

Narky git.

Have a word with yourself

I'm not well at the moment.

I just don't understand why we always back the unfortunate useless player. We always do it. Kilbane was almost legendary in some quarters.

Hibbert isn't that good a player. He may work hard in terms of running but he has major flaws in his game, and at this level they are well exposed.

The ball came off his shin. Not his foot. Maybe as he lost his footing. If it would have come off his foot I would back you.

The player is not great, but you are being an absolute arse. Sorry Nick, but facts are facts.

Maybe log off for the night lad

Not one person is arguing that today, or any day.

Neill should have started, but he didn't. [Poor language removed] happens.

Calm the feck down mate. I speak as a friend.

We all know hibbo is not good enough for us anymore. Stop upsetting yourself about it.

And looking back through all the posts, we are not backing Hibbert.

You are just on one, and Hibbert was one of our best players today.

He is not that all the time, but he saved us a few times in this match.

Ok, well what I will do is just not have an opinion.

I respect yours and everyone else who likes Hibbert - I just don't think he is good enough for Everton, and it's not an own goal today that has compounded that view it is my general opinion of watching Hibbert over the years.

What's with all the bloody moaning ? We won ! We might not have played like Brazil but a win after our current run is welcome. Even the moaning gits on Toffeeweb seem happier than some on here. We won , have a drink.

Well I'm more relieved than happy. Long way to go pal, and we only have 1 fit striker at the moment, and he's not even match fit.

Trying to look at the bigger picture. If I am allowed to.

Hibbo was unlucky there, if we are gonna be picky, which I aint, just saying if we are, we should wonder why Yobo, Distin and Howard let a very high ball drift onto the foot of the only West Ham player anywhere near the ball. But as I say, Im not being picky.

I haven't seen the Hibbert goal because my stream kept stopping. Was it just " one of those things" that has happened to many defenders trying to clear the ball off the line over the years ?
