Happy with the early sub. Something Martinez should have done a lot more often but whatever, that's in the past now.

McCarthy was the right choice to come off. Don't think I even heard his name mentioned until they called his sub.

Del & Mirallas on the wings with Rom holding play up is exactly how we should have started. Can't play someone like Deulofeu up top against a Pulis side. It just isn't going to work.

Hopefully things fall into place a bit more in the second half!

In fairness I'd prefer to see a manager who understands that WBA are full of grocks and start with the right team in the first place.

At least he noticed his snafu though and didn't wait to change it.

Yeah agreed, but think it was purely to do with no thinking lukaku could last 90. We don't have any other strikers or right backs. 5 at the back would possibly be alright with coleman there.

Ah well, he's been here 1 game and like you said, at least he noticed.

Why oh why did he start with so many defensive players against a team that doesn't even attempt to attack unless they have a set piece.

Or put Deulofeu up against 4 CBs when he knew West Brom would sit deep. I felt sorry for him.

At least he made the right sub.

Pretty much this.

I'm assuming/hoping koeman made that starting line up over fitness concerns and not because he thought it was a good idea to play a defensive 3-5-2 against the mighty West Brom
