Now before I start, this thread is not aimed as a bashing of Bill Kenwright, I for one have a lot of respect for the man, we would not be in our current position without him, so here it goes.
After looking at the quotes from the shareholders meeting tonight, a number of talking points have come up, the main one being a quote from Moyes which stated, "We will be bringing in people and maybe not people who I would think are first team players; maybe squad players, bosmans to build-up the squad to cope with things like that (Europe)." Earlier in the meeting, it had been announced a club record turnover of 80 million pounds. It was also claimed that Everton'a FA Cup run was worth a total of 7 million to the club.
Add to this, the club was given a sum of £12,176,000 for finishing 5th in the premier league last season, shown on this website Premier League: The money table - Telegraph
Another point to add being that according to research, Everton are one of the teams with the least amount of debt in the Premier League with a debt of 26 million, only Hull, Stoke, Tottenham and Blackburn have less, shown here It's crunch time for Hammers, but how does your club fare in League of debt? | Mail Online
So why is it that summer after summer, despite finishing at the top end of the table, having one of the least amount of debts and having one of the smallest wage bills in the league, we are being outspent by teams in a worse situation than us. So back to the question, were is the money going?
