Wenger Leaving Arsenal

some of the hate from Arsenal fans towards him is unreal. I appreciate they haven't won the league in years but he's delivered CL time and time again, won trophies and done so with a beautiful brand of football. I get it's time to move on and that but fans calling up TalkS**t and all that celebrating him leaving doesn't sit right with me.
Their fans are deluded and out of touch. Similarly, I couldn’t help but feel slightly annoyed at the empty seats at Old Trafford (v WBA) and the p’d off faces on those that stayed. They’ve had 20+ years of unparalleled success. They are still 2nd in the league, qualifying for Champions League (as ever) and 2 trophies last season. Yet still they are sat their looking like it’s the end of the world. Self-entitled beauts the lot of them.

the 97/98 arsenal team were for me the finest prem team, the midfield pairing of petit and viera was incredible till petit had his head turned, I'm convinced that utd would never have raised their game to win the treble without that arsenal side first raising the bar, I think gary neville said it's the best side he played against, both those teams would go right through todays city side by the way, what an era that was

I have been saying that all season. That Arsenal side was amazing. The fawning over city this season has been ridiculous.

that 98/99 United side was certainly luckier than any of Wengers teams - Bayern completely evertoned the final, Arsenal should have beaten them in the FA Cup semi and they only lost the league by a point

If we're bringing luck into it, Arsenal drew a bunch of games in that invincibles season that they should have lost

Ultimately it's 3 trophies vs 1, I know what I find more impressive

I really like Arsene Wenger, it will be a bit strange seeing Arsenal without him!

But it is time for him to step down I would say.

I wonder who they will go for now, it's a big decision for sure.

It would be interesting if they give it to someone like Viera, big risk, but maybe worth it. Jardim would be a good option too. Maybe Lucien Favre in terms of footballing style would work, but if they want a younger coach, it makes no sense to go for Favre.

An absolute legend of the game. The way a lot of Arsenal fans have treated him in recent years has been nothing short of a disgrace. His Invincibles team was outstanding, and he's brought us so many players who've been a pleasure to watch. When people say things like "pass the ball like Arsenal do" you know you've left one hell of a legacy behind you. It'll be crazy to see them without him but interesting to see how the club will change in coming years: Will they chop and change managers in the hunt of quick success or will they be prepared to start a new era under a long-term appointment? Bye Arsene, it was a pleasure la!

Everyone has a shelf life. I think his was about 3 seasons ago when Leicester won the league. Arsenal were the only stable club next to say Spurs, and they didn't lay a glove on them while still finishing 2nd.

All the top clubs then changed their manager and Arsenal didn't and have gone backwards.

Should've bowed out then.

But yeah... welcome to Ev ha

So that's how you get rid of a manager. Let the owners see the empty seats.
Had Wenger got his own way I think he would of stayed on for one more season, especially If they win the Europa.

This decision has come from upstairs he has been sacked, not resigned.

Moyes from united, hodgson from Liverpool and Wenger have all been sacked due to fans voting with their feet. It works.
Exactly. Our fans are perfectly content to line our owner’s pockets and boo the team into oblivion. Empty stadiums speak much louder than boos.
