Well played Peanuts

I thought Osman played pretty well today but was really frustrated by both Pienaar and Fellaini. Surprised Stevie is getting so much praise. He and Osman (even on a good today like today) both look like they're running on ice whenever they're on the ball, and they're so weak. I don't advocate selling either of them though, Osman is a great club man and Pienaar can do better.

Fellaini is the best player of the three though. His pre-suspension form was exciting, it's just that he is so unorthodox in his style that it's going to take us years to find his best position, if we ever do.

Hibbert has really gone up in my estimations in the last few months, I'm happy with him as a starter if he maintains his form.

Osman is ten times the midfielder that Fellaini is.

Good grief.....
Some reports have MoFro with a cracked bone in his back. I don't know if that's true or not but we've seen some nice play by the Fro. If I had a spinal fracture I would be bitching about while merely laying on the sofa watching the match. I would suspect the same from you AnimalFarm.

Your analysis is hyperbole at best and pure idiocy at worst.

Agreed, Pienaar was great today, he stepped up a level when he need to(y)
Ossie and Hibbo are good grafting players, to sell them would be mad simply because for dosh we would get for them we wouldn't get a player as good, let alone any better, in.
oh how ace is Jags, that cool composed flick off the line, like it was no big deal, was as good as Saha's goal.

Peanut is a stonker. Only thing missing was Spud to his right. Baines feeding or overlapping, Spud inside link up and switching. Cahill/Saha/Yak to feed if not score.

Mr Pienaar has no limits that he has found. When he plays good, it is a bad game for him. He is a player that will only ever feel wanted if he thinks he deserves it.

Cahill and Spud are the same.

Ossie is a perfect super sub, release the Leon when their half is feeling tired. Ossie is THE most under rated player in the prem. he has seen rooney come and go, AJ, Beattie, Gravesen brought in and shipped out. And through it all, he has stayed first team.

Basically I am saying pienaar is one of the men you need when the **** hits the fan. Under no pressure he does the same as Lescott and Yobo, they make mistakes. Put them under pressure, woah, you will **** it. They do not live for easy games. If we are not suffering constant artillery, then our tsunami of counter attack can not play.

They do not play with their hearts on their sleeves, They play with our Hearts. Moyes has told them to look after our hearts.

They are doing a bloody good job.

Welcome back to the Family Mr Pienaar

I'd have Osman in the team week in week out to be honest, especially with Arteta out. We need all the quality and creativity we can get and Osman offers that.

He can't dominate a game but he certainly sprinkles a lot of quality on it.

Wonderful prose, Toccy

LEON ? Osman??

Without a doubt, especially in the middle.

He's average outwide but he proved last season alongside a defensive midfielder (Neville, Carsley) that he can do a very good job in the middle.

With Arteta out we don't have anyone who can put there foot on the ball and add a bit of quality to the game. Osman's not perfect but he's always willing to take that extra touch and try and make things happen.

You obviously didnt watch his poor performance yesterday in the middle. Squad player at best

I watched it, he wasn't great but then no one was bar Pienaar, Cahill and Baines.

He should be a squad player, agreed. With our lack of depth and lack of quality in the middle he's a must in the team and he will be in the team.

Agreed. Ossie is a central midfielder and along with Arteta and Pienaar, is a creative player. He lacks the physical presence that some have which is why he worked so well Carsley. But when the lad is on fire, he's one of the few Everton players that are genuinely delightful to watch.

Does anyone think that Ossie would be a revelation in a slower, less physical league such as Serie A? My view is that he would really shine. I'm not saying he would be playing in Milan or anything, just that he has the qualities to make an impact there.

I think he would, he'd be perfect for a slower League.
