Just wanted to tip my hat to you on yet another (:dodgy:) win against us. Your defensive play was very solid and was ultimately the reason for our demise, not to mention making the best of your few chances while we didn't. (y)

I hope to repay the favour at your home, but that's a long shot the way you play the top teams so tough. Beats the hell out of me how you can be so near the relegation zone.

Nice one mate, I don't know how the [Poor language removed] we do it but we just seem to at your gaff.

I'm dreading when it changes as you're going to rightfully hound us for it. Must have been a great game for the neutral, I hated nearly every minute of it. The general consensus seems to be you were missing De Jong and Balotelli is [Poor language removed]?

Last half hour was a nightmare, defence were crackin....not good for the ticker
but when are we ever? maybe that's why we love them.....

That is the consensus from our side. Actually people like to blame Milner and Balotelli because 1) Milner was expensive and not performing and 2) Balotelli acts like a dick.

But they were only the most visible ones. The back 2 were headless chickens for the first 20 minutes. Kolarov twirled like a ballerina to avoid blocking crosses. Silva missed more passes tonight than he has all season for us. All of this (unlike Milner's crap performance) was uncharacteristic. You do that to us because of your preparation and workrate. De Jong did hurt us but, being the 'richest club' there is no excuse for not having adequate backups due to suspensions.

Tonight proved, although many of the more realistic fans already knew this, that we are nowhere close to championship caliber with such deficiencies in our game, namely our lack of wide play to exploit the numbers teams put in front of the goal at Eastlands. It's something we will have to work on and I expect it's something we will improve, eventually, but obviously not tonight.

Anyway fair play to you. Now to start doing it to everyone else!

Our forums tonight didn't represent the vast majority of City fans. Many were stuck in the freezing cold six hours or longer and, when the team performed poorly, they went out and drank and probably had a good rant at Everton. It was more to do with the frustration of not being on top for the first time in 81 years combined with the miserable conditions and alcohol, not anything wrong Everton or the ref did.

I live in the Manchester area and have many City mates. To be honest so far, they have all been very generous towards Everton last night.
You boys will have your moments this season, good luck to you all.
Always good to speak with other fans instead of ranters!

Always good to a decent Manc fan on here! Welcome, son...
At least now you know how it feels to be an Evertonian! You know, dominate position, have a trillion attempts at goal... And still lose!(y)
