Apparently it’s a wild suggestion, according to this Notts fan, to say Dyche doesn’t have a Plan B. I’d argue it’s far wilder to claim that he does, based on actual facts and his managerial record over the past decade.

Tell you what Dyche is gonna be knackered when Wood retires isn’t he, considering he apparently can’t be expected to carry out his job with any other striker on the planet.

?

Because it was a direct response to your post to me. You said his chaos works lower levels.

I'm saying they've consolidated and remained a Premier League team - they were favourites for relegation that first season - how many promoted teams have done that?

Sprinkle in Wembley, and Europa League football (even if due to Palace balls up after qualified for Conference).

It's not pretty, it's chaos, he's basically Moshiri and at some point you expect the wheels to come flying right off but the point in September, and remains to be true, is Marinakis has done absolute wonders for that football club when you review the before and now.
He has worked wonders - but now he is clearly a massive liability. I was agreeing with you...to a point. That point is this season. Wheels are already falling off. He's about to find out that only Chelsea can operate like this...and even then you couldn't say their model is efficient.

Yeah it did show him up to be fair.

Get to the byline and cross. To infinity.

When that didn't work, he'd proactively change wingers (2 changes at half time!) and repeat.

Forest fans didnt want Nuno either, and legit wanted Ange out after 2 games.

So I don't put a lot of stock into that.

I've sat with their fans more times than I'd like to admit - they're largely insufferable.

I think it was the Everton game at the city ground that i read a forest fan pulling his out hair at what you just said. Wasnt it something like a record 42 crosses and tarkowski and obrien just ate them up all game. But he never thought once to change it up.

Just checked what happened to him.

Former Burnley captain Josh Brownhill has joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab.

Premier League sides Brentford, Wolves and West Ham and Championship club Leicester were all keen on the 29-year-old, who scored 18 goals last season as Burnley secured promotion back to the top flight.

The midfielder left at the end of the campaign after five years at Turf Moor, making 211 appearances in total and scoring 32 goals overall.

He will join Belgium international Yannick Carrasco and former Southampton and Watford defender Wesley Hoedt at Al-Shabab.

The club, managed by former Real Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil, lost their opening game of the Saudi Pro League 4-1 to Al-Khaleej.

"I feel really honoured to join Al-Shabab," Brownhill said.

He went for the money mate.

Siding with Edu over Nuno was the Sliding Doors moment, wasn't it? He got high on the overperformance of the team but refused to stand by the man that delivered it, expected the progress to continue under a radically different manager who ended up overseeing an absolutely torrid few weeks, and then expected Sean Dyche of all people to seamlessly transition them back into European Qualification mode.

He's undone a good few years of progress at the club, and objectively his treatment of Dyche has been harsh, but I hate Dyche and I hate the recent Bad Grass incarnation of Notts Forest so LOLs all round.

He’s just a narcissist. Spent his whole career with two idiots next to him and mates in the media telling him how great he is. Completely unable to look at himself and critically evaluate, no wonder his former players hate him everywhere he’s been.
Wonder how long chris woods injury lasts now he's gone..

The point I've made is those sneering at him, have to factor in the bigger picture too.

I've made the same point about Chelsea on here before. Particularly like this;

Enzo Maresca’s dismissal was the fifth time a Premier League manager has been sacked after winning two trophies the previous season. The other four sackings were Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto de Matteo and Jose Mourinho. The clubs doing the sacking were Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea…and Chelsea.

I think it was the Everton game at the city ground that i read a forest fan pulling his out at what you just said. Wasnt it something like a record 42 crosses and tarkowski and obrien just ate them up all game. But he never thought once to change it up.

Yeah it's all he seemed to do.

Might have worked with Chris Wood, but never with the lad they had.
