Matthew says "so who are going to be tonight macca?"

"Tonight Matthew, im going to be Porto!"
Why though? He walked away when the time way right. He did a good job overall. The criticism he gets can only be justified if you think the players/squad were better than the league positions suggest.

He did a decent job.

He did a decent job.

He didn't walk away, he waited for a payout, even after admitting he wasn't up to the job.

And the bold literally happened immediately after Moyes came in.

Do I really need to answer why? Did you have a period on the moon during our extended 3 month periods without a win? Did you go on holiday in a submarine for 3 months so didn't see him resign, but confirmed he couldn't do the job anymore but was happy to wait for a pay off?

I think form wise we were 5th or 6th most in form side under Moyes weren't we?

It's genuinely one of the worst shouts ever posted by @PercyPlant when he says criticism is only justified if you think the team was better...which it proved it was.

It wasn’t good enough and he was rightfully sacked, most managers end up getting sacked, but overall he did a decent job. He picked up from the awful Lampard and saved us, following season had us level points with the highly praised Brighton or Brentford (can’t remember which) had it not been for points deductions and he walked away when time was right. He did a ok/decent/good job, he certainly didn’t do a job that bad that you’d wish ill on the rest of his career.

He was sacked? But you just told us he walked away? Which is it?
