Beige ? Get that back to the oldies thread where it belongs

Football has fcked off thuggery, thank god. "hard men" is a euphemism for cheating.

We simply don't have enough good players - thats our problem.

its not a hard man we need its leaders on the pitch, someone to organise and drive them on, samba was a good shout and that olsen at wba fit the bill, cant think of a midfeilder of that type .

Pulling angry faces, staring wildly and clenching fists don't make a hardman. Carsley just got on with it and was twice the hardman that Gravesen pretended to be.

This annoys me greatly, same with the Heitinga stuff. Its our fans who anoint these players as hard men not the players themselves.

its not sunday league lad, Gravesen was a footballer who at his best dictated play for us, and set up the team for the 4th place finish, theres are no hard men at top tier football, they are all blag merchants, who can kick off, square up to each other and never have to fight it out. If were talking about needing leaders thats one thing, but I dont buy the 'hard case' stuff.

There's plenty of hard-cases in top tier football, they just happen to be able to play the game too - teams don't win anything without one or two in the team. Sunday league 'thugs' are, thankfully, a thing of the past...lad.

They looked alike, especially from the stands.
Still think Real bought the wrong one by mistake....

You wanna buy who?

The-o, Baldy-o tough-o guy-o inno da midfield-o

Him there*points

Si Si

Gravesen??

Si Si

El Baldy-o

They then proceeded to play him in the Carsley position

QED

What we need is better finishers, a back line and goalkeeper that don't concede soft goals every other set piece, and some depth.
