It's a no brainer for me. We no longer have the same financial constraints so what he gets paid I couldn't care less about. We'd be getting a high profile, England captain, who's won everything going. The more winners in our squad the better. I don't buy the argument it potentially hinders another prospects progression. He'd contribute in so many ways on & off the field, and actually be good for the kids. Experience, quality on the ball, huge marketing/ profile exposure for the club. Undoubtedly would help us attract other 'big name' signings. For me the positives by far out weigh the negatives.
