This is not any kind of sticking up for sam but i don't think it was the right time to take a punt on a manager like silva where it could possibly go tits up midway through the season. A steady pair of hands was needed at the time, different story once we hit the end of this season however.

Watford could have picked up a reported £15m now they have to pay him off.

We could Sack Allardyce and appoint Silva for 1/2 that figure but will Silva do any better than Allardyce with this set of players.

Also Allardyce says no more players are incoming, could this because he isnt expected to be in the managers seat come the end of the season?
