"The catalyst for this decision is that unwarranted approach..."

Bit silly from them, makes them very unattractive in the market.

Silva should have shown some backbone and resigned, that was all the Pozzos wanted for cover.

I’m in two minds about how he would have worked out here, I favoured him over Allardyce but nobody knows.

Haa how can they reject the approach and then blame us? They decided to keep him, if he was that keen on leaving that he's "lost focus" then that's their fault for keeping him. Same with a player a club decides to keep, always a risk he's not going to be at the races after an approach.

Outstanding record? Relegated with Hull and sent Watford into freefall. Perhaps you are the ignorant one.

He may have been in charge of hull as they went down. Incidentally they had a higher win ratio under him than Sam has had his whole career.

Finished up at Watford in a higher league position than they have ever achieved previously. Yeah mate I'm the ignorant one

He'd be miles better than Allardyce. Our board were obviously desperate to get him in but deemed the compensation far too much. Sacking Allardyce and getting Silva in would still be cheaper than the compensation we would have paid. Do it.
You are chatting absolute wham...relegation would be nailed on if this happened

I heard he wanted to join us and it split the dressing room, I guess the board have a point but it's strange that they go public with it as it doesn't reflect well on them at all. Maybe we will go after him in the summer when the board realise that Sam and his cronies are not the long term answer. Come to think of it, is there a long-term answer to the conundrum that is Everton Football Club?

Of course I'd take him, he can't be worse than Allardyce. How does us expressing an interest in him give Watford grounds for sacking him, though?

I dont think it is important who we want but clearly Silva was the Everton boards no.1 target which was demonstrated by the amount of money they offered for a manager.

Personally I`d take Diego Simeone!!!
Of course it's important mate, give yourself / us some credit.
The board might think we are talking nonsense but we as a fan base have been doing that for years!
