Southall was an amazing keeper, he'd consistenly makes saves you wouldn't expect any keeper to have any right to. He didn't look the most agile, yet he was.

People remember him being a bit 'heavier' but, when he was trim and at his peak there was none better. Schmeichel pfft.

I can only assume we have Kopite infiltrators amongst us. One of few players to play for Everton who was the worlds best during his time here.

I think the 'No' responses are in jest tbh, even the kopites credit Nev's brilliance! He was certainly the best player I have seen in a blue shirt, and I have been fortunate to see many, many greats! Most will say it was Alan Ball, but I would argue that big Nev was world class for us for longer and that for three maybe even four seasons he was without a doubt the best on the planet! I genuinely don't think the same could be said about Bally? (I know loads will argue the toss on that, quite rightly!). The main thing about Nev, was that he used every part of his body to save goals, so many keepers just use their arms, but Nev would kick them clear, head them clear, even use his arse on occasions! a true, true genius, who had we managed a prolonged run in Europe after winning the CWC, would have been rightly recognised world-wide as the collossus he undoubtedly was!
