Didn't Ferguson literally say he was delighted we got a point? His comments could have been spoken by Moyes himself.

So while I'm not really saying we should all feel massively sorry for the lad, the vitriol on here and social media is frankly ludicrous. And it's vitriol that comes from our own tendency as a fanbase to get carried away.

And the idea that social media has brought us that every take has to be immediate and that everything has to be 100% understandable and clear RIGHT NOW!

He's not the first or the last 19 year old to, apparently, confuse talent with application. Duncan Ferguson isn't the first new manager to make a drastic call he may regret. What both parties learn from this storm in a teacup is the important thing.

Okay - but who built him up? Us - our fans! Like we do with any young player.

And he's been given next to no chances (fine, I'm all for getting him in gently anyway) in a struggling side. And under a manager that most of the fanbase wanted out by October.

When he has played, he's showed some flashes, but not enough to get himself in the side. But again, I'll stress, we're not playing as a side in a way that lends itself to being able to give people those chances.

The club very much encouraged that hype though let's be honest. And the lad and his agent didn't exactly try to dampen it down.

He's done nothing at all suggest he should have had more chances, literally nothing. It's nearly half way through the season and his highlight reel would be a nice turn here and a bit of pace there. He's got to show much, much, more than that if he wants to avoid getting dragged off every time he plays. That's two very different managers with different approaches who've done it now, that ain't good.

That;s the 6th time in our last 20 at Old Trafford that we've come away with a point. Given that history and the squad available on the day, I'd havbe taken that before kick off.

Bringing Kean on the first place was the mistake:

"United are looking for the winner...so I'll take a MF off and put an out and out forward on the pitch to hang on".

This is what happened: he was basically in a fog of confusion and blind panic and couldn't function, made the wrong move then sought to correct it...by taking off the out and out forward...and throwing ANOTHER out and out forward on.

Genius.

He changed his formation to 4-5-1 and wanted to close the space centrally. At the same time, he wanted a backroom threat, and thought Kean would provide it. In my opinion, correctly considered, but should perhaps come sooner.
