We need quality players like Vitalii Mykolenko to help move "project Everton success" forward.
In desperation, I'm hoping his extension will be to maintain some kind of transfer fee value with a view to him moving on in the summer or next year. It's clear to everybody that he's nowhere near good enough.

That would mean signing two this summer which we aren’t going to do. He’s a perfectly acceptable second choice. Who is going to happy coming to be our sub left back if we don’t get Europe
If Aznou shows signs of promise next year then he can replace mykolenko as second choice and then sell Mykolenko the year after for an actual fee rather than his contract expiring.

there is an option for a one year extension apparently, which would be the first port of call surely (I wouldnt even do that personally)

Obviously I want better, and certainly someone that offers more going forwards, but defensively for certain opponents he’s often kept some pretty decent wingers quiet imo.
If he was 2nd choice / rotation option I wouldn’t mind that at all.

….its such a wasted opportunity having players like Grealish playing on the left when you have a LB who is technically incapable of linking with him. Blend is so important as we saw with Baines/Pienaar.

He's solid,but I think we need a bit more in terms of an attacking threat.
Got absolutely no issues with him being 2nd choice.
