Did you see the second goal? Misses the man he’s marking. Falls over, a midget heads it…goal. He’s absolute garbage and that’s being kindComplete player except for the final third.
Much underrated in defense.

Stop this fantasy that he’s a great defender he isn’t fantastic at that either. Does a decent job with support, thinking for himself he’s useless and as poor as a league 1 player on the ball. Back back back back easy passes hindrance he is.Complete player except for the final third.

I don't think he is as bad as some on here are saying, nor would I compare him to Hibbert, he's more like Yobo. Mykolenko in some games looks decent, however give him something to think about he's useless just like Yobo. Sometimes it's embarrassing having Mykolenko in our side, because he's so lost in some games. Also he's incredibly clumsy for a premier league player, falling over or running into opposition players.Shocking footballer: he’s like a Ukrainian tony hibbert but worse.
Always at fault. Let Bowen the midget in at far post. Woeful.
I think this does Joey Yobo a bit of a dis-service factoring in the whole picture. As a footballer there is a comparison to be made in that we know Yobo wasn't exactly Beckenbauer on the ball, and Mykolenko is no Maldini. But as a centre back Yobo did have elite level athleticism. While not the biggest CB in the world he was a decent size, and he had an incredible spring so no worries in the air. Pace wise he was top level also, could recover ground on strikers very quickly. Mykolenko doesn't possess those natural gifts to the same level. Obviously he is a fit lad and I can't imagine many on here would out sprint him! But by PL standards he is a bog average athlete. Throw in a less than bog average level of ability and you have a real problem positionI don't think he is as bad as some on here are saying, nor would I compare him to Hibbert, he's more like Yobo. Yobo was a better player, I was more focusing on how Yobo outside of his comfort zone struggled as was prone to errors, although nowhere near as many as Mykolenko. I remember Yobo blasting it at one of Wigans players, then blasting it right back at him when he could of put it out of play and Wigan scoring. It was comical, with Mykolenko it isn',t as Mykolenkos flaws affect us and both ends of pitch. His crossing is mostly atrocious, he often runs past the ball for some unknown reason and loses ball leading to a breakaway for opposition. He often seems to be completely lost in games has tendency to put in wild challenges or miss challenges leading to opposition scoring. Against Ipswich at home last year he was diabolical, but played excellent at Newcastle a few weeks later. He's just a very limited player, that won't give you consistent performances.I think this does Joey Yobo a bit of a dis-service factoring in the whole picture. Absolutely......i really liked Joey as a player for us. The safety valve of having a centre back with his recovery pace was such an asset. But no doubt he could go haywire. I don't remember the Wigan one you refer to, but his two classics wereYobo was a better player, I was more focusing on how Yobo outside of his comfort zone struggled as was prone to errors, although nowhere near as many as Mykolenko.
