I’d have considered subbing him off after about two minutes of him being on the pitch because that was dreadful.

Weird bringing him on to chase a game even though I get the point was probably to have a left footer bang as many in the box as possible rather than Godfrey in LB.

Reason I say weird is he’s always been a confidence player. He was awful for his first three or four games last season then slowly grew into his role and had a decent run end of last season, certainly looking good defensively, though offering little going forward. Then this season there were too many horror shows from the whole team and confidence never got up. Now he’s under a different manager and system who he’s never performed for and looks terrified of making a mistake rather than well up for making a positive impact.

He’s still young and only been in the league for just over a year so I reckon Dyche can get more out of him but I don’t think it’ll be this season.

That post was made before the media confirmed that Mykolenko was scouted by Brands in the summer prior to his departure.

Therefore whilst the club signed him after he left he still scouted him and got the wheels in motion for the deal to be done in January.
