Villas-Boas on Lukaku

Hmmmm, so AVBs doing the " I don't think Lukakas dirty but.........." Hansens highlighting unpunished high tackles from McCarthy and Barry on MOTD.....any guesses about what Brenda's pre derby presser might touch on in case the ref needs any pointers?

Lloris assualted Lukaku by butting his knee, it was savage behaviour.

We have kept out mouths shut but if the child snatching Portuguese ginger bearded prick keeps this up then we need to unleash the tshirts of support for Lukaku next game. Were the victims here.

Can never tell whats going through a players mind there, but he makes no attempt to get out the way, but Loris does basically take him out.

If you look at his hips, you can see he's attempting to change direction to avoid the collision. The only way he would avoid that smash would be if he was a russian gymnast, with the reflexes of one of Bungles cat gifs! Unfortunately for the keeper who decided to try and injure him with his face, Lakaku isn't called the Tank for nothing!

I'm with you on this one Chico, I'm pretty sure if Martinez wasn't such a nice guy he's ask the FA to look into that heinous attempt to injure one of our star players!

Why should he have to get out of the challenge? It's a contact sport ffs!

What next, stop and have a cup of tea on the half-way line at 20 minutes?

Lukaku clearly went for the ball, as entitled, and wanted to win the match. Lloris also went for the ball, and wanted to win the match! There's too much protection for goalkeepers nowadays, whilst admittedly, Lloris could have been seriously injured, it's the risk goalkeepers, and the club take, hence the huge insurance each team would get should that occur.

The way the media are banging on about it makes it sound like Lukaku ran up to him, kicked his head in, then spat on him!
AVB chips in, and hey ho, a top 4 rival, now has a huge hindered player in Lukaku, as referees will now blow up because he is a 'dirty' player... ala Andy 'Diver' Johnson from a few years ago, and an arguable penalty at Blackburn springs to mind, and he got booked for diving!

Why always us?

**** off AVB you crap Mourinho wannabe. Was Lukaku just think oh im not going to go for the ball and let a chance of scoring pass cos a bell of a sweeper keeper comes out at him. Big Rom ain't Moyes he's no surrender monkey.

you have to wonder why the media etc kick up a storm over lloris continuing after a ko and not lukaku when he got knocked out in the west ham match... definitely a case of double standards from media/fans/doctors etc.

martinez on sodado elbowing jags and AVBs request for an apology from lukaku

'We're waiting for Roberto Soldado to apologise to Phil Jagielka and use the same phone call so we don't have to spend two phone calls'

It was incidental contact, nothing more. They were both going for the ball.

Lakuku was running in a straight line towards the ball and Lloris came at speed from his left, also going for the ball.

In the split second available to them, neither could have done anything to avoid the collision.

Not on anyone side here but Lloris is diving it at his own risk surely?
He could have literally just walked up to the ball and caught in after it bounced, not hard to do.

Why should we apologise to Lloris when Soldado elbowed someone and that didn't get a mention anywhere?

Can you imagine if Lukaku had tried to jump him and didn’t quite manage to time it correctly. It’s bad enough him running in to your head with his knee as you dive out, but if he jumps as well. People would be crying assault!

Lukaku was entitled to go for the ball and it’s the system of using the keeper as a sweeper, which meant he had to fly out of his goal to dive at his feet like he did. AVB is just trying to divert attention away from himself and I think Martinez’ reaction to it was quality.
