That reply is top class. This man just oozes class and he don't take no crap.
He gives me the impression that he's determined not to make the mistake of being 'Mr Nice Guy' again. He was humiliated at Chelsea, and maybe treated unfairly. But he's making the mistake now of thinking being obnoxious is the same as having status. That Villas-Boas comes across as a slime ball, his comments about his own fans was silly considering the hate he got from Chelsea fans.
I saw someone make that comment earlier and assumed it was a joke, if that's what he said then my love for Bob is reaching levels I never thought possible.
If Spurs are the media darlings as claimed how come they're getting criticised so much over this?
Lukaku's last step before contact says it all. Until that point Lukaku has no reason to pull out of that, if Lloris hesitated for a split second it would have been Lukaku's ball and he would have been through on goal. Once it's clear Lloris is going to get the ball, he takes a single step with his right foot to avoid contact, right before Lloris's head clatters into his knee.
Lloris had every right to go for that ball. I don't really agree with Southall1EFC, the best goalies don't calculate their odds of getting hurt, they put their bodies on the line to get the ball and stop the opposition from scoring, end of. I'm sure the penalty shouts are a joke because he clearly got the ball, but still I think a keeper always knows the risk when he goes sliding in like that.
If either player's timing was off by a fraction of a second, it could have resulted in a goal, a penalty, a much more serious injury, or no contact at all. I don't think anyone is at fault, it's just a part of the game.
