VAR, new excuse needed
It's an interesting one, I've watched at least 2 sets of highlights from this game, and neither of them even showed this incident, which leads me to believe the general consensus was that they agree with the ref and the VAR.That has to be one of the most ridiculous decisions since VAR came in
The latest one is the player was fowled before the corner or free kick was taken
I do agree that VAR should be got rid of, it ruins the spectator experience and sucks all the joy out of football. It is corruption, when blatant handballs aren't given as penalties, such as Deli Ali while playing for Spurs punching it out. No penalty. Surely VAR officials saw it. Whatever it is, VAR should be got rid of because it ruins game.
"it's a grappling action" is my favorite, like that's ok.It’s his emphasis on “Total accident” that winds me up. Genuinely unbelievable!
To say that VAR audio footage is amateur and unprofessional would be an understatement. Like a group of lads in a pub having a biased discussion trying to justify and not give it. How refereeing has turned into this is quite shocking. Surely Howard Webb has to stand down and the whole organisation restructured. It is the laughing stock of the world in its current form.

Working as intended my friend, to directly affect the outcome of results. To say that VAR audio footage is amateur and unprofessional would be an understatement. This is the thing though, fans only remember the ones that go against them. How about Merlin Rohl dragged from behind, hands completely around his waist and dragged to the floor by Berardo Silva, of course no pen. Westham player the same by Declan Rice no pen given. The 2 clubs saved from certain penalties given against them, Man City and Arsenal...of course no coincidence there that they are two of the big 4 fat cat clubs in the premiership. Var is rotten to the core by refs/ var terrified to give the big decisions against our biggest clubs, that's my opinion anyway.
It can't be a foul unless the balls in play. Hence why you get all the pushing and shoving on corners before the whistle goes for it to be taken. Not saying I agree with it but that's the rule. I didn't see the City game so I'm not sure if the Bernardo Silva one was before the whistle was blown but I gather that's the reason they didn't look at itYeah think they are called excuses mate, a foul is a foul, could be wrong unless the player involved is off side, or there was a previous offside in the move. I could be wrong about that.

If we're honest, we absolutely got away with a Tarkowski foul in the derby either last year or the year before. I don't remember the details but I do remember thinking I'd be screaming for a red if it was the other way round but the VAR didn't give it. There'll be plenty of others that have gone in our favour but (understandably), we don't get hung up on them.
Alright lads at our next corner i want you to get the nearst man to you and upper cut him but remember to do it just before the corner is taken as the ball is not in play so it's not a foul.It can't be a foul unless the balls in play. I don't think violent conduct counts so you'd still get a red card but there'd be no free kickAlright lads at our next corner i want you to get the nearst man to you and upper cut him but remember to do it just before the corner is taken as the ball is not in play so it's not a foul.
An upper cut would be classed as violent conduct so treated differently, but you surely aren't surprised to find that normal fouls committed when the ball's not in play aren't given? Have you never watched a game before? I haven't seen a proper real time replay of the Rohl one that shows when the ball came into play compared to when the foul took place so I don't know if it should be an excuse for that particular one, but as a general principle it's pretty well established.Alright lads at our next corner i want you to get the nearst man to you and upper cut him but remember to do it just before the corner is taken as the ball is not in play so it's not a foul.
You're proving my point. Of course you remember all the bad decisions but we'll have had plenty go our way as well, there's just no reason for you to remember them.Of course we get the odd one in our favour but come on I could list about 20 decisions off the top of my head that have gone against us since the start of the decade.
