I don’t know if you are deliberately misunderstanding here mate? Play stops when the whistle goes. If you are advocating play to continue after the whistle in case VAR deems the ref has made a mistake, then that is madness.

Yesterday, the whistle was blown before the ball went into the net. Not reviewable. Not the same situation at all.
