Oh I think it works just fine for football. But corrupt people are using it.Its not fine at all - its use ruins the entertainment for fans in the stadium. And it doesn't work for football anyway, as pointed out by the other posters above.
Id be ok with offside goals too though it can be annoying. I remember too many ridiculous but decisive goals given over the yearsIt will never be fine as the rules in football can be seen in many different ways, all penalties/handballs/bad tackles are all subjective decisions.
Me and you or 2 PL referees can look at an incident 100 times and have different opinions on it.
Ask any fan in the country and i bet they can bring up multiple VAR decisions that went against them for their club, even the teams who we think get the decisions.
