Sure they blow their whistle for penalties, cards, goals etc that VAR overturns so how was that situation any different.

Technically, VAR couldn't intervene for the Villa goal as the ref blew before the ball went in the net.
Linesman encouraged to keep their flags down but the ref couldn't wait a few seconds so they could have a look.

I disagree, ball to hand and he didn't know much about it. As for the Villa disallowed goal that's probably the worst decision of the season and it has plenty of competition for that honour

Saw an interview with Tim Howard and he said the keeper had no possession and that was a goal.

Even with the deflection, it’s too much distance to be ball to hand. Arm is out. He takes it off Mykolenko’s foot in the box.

I see what you're saying but I'm old fashioned when it comes to handball and if its not deliberate then its incredibly harsh to be given a penalty against the defender. I hate the fact that defenders defend now with their hands behind their back because the handball law is too harsh for example

Just gives them more options to change the outcome of games as they see fit. I genuinely thought it would stop dodgy decisions. Naive isn't the word.

When I seen the handball today I thought it was very similar to the Myko one last week. Hand was coming back into body at the time. Last week VAR wanted the penalty and this week not interested

Yes they were both similar, neither were deliberate handballs so in my opinion the ref got both decisions right
