VAR

Reading up it appears that the foul was called for the Maguire action rather than De Ligt so they classed that as a clear and obvious error. They then decided that the De Ligt pull wasn't enough to give a penalty so it wasn't a clear and obvious error to not give a penalty for that. Confusing nonsense. Young exaggerated but he was pulled by De Ligt and it should have been a penalty.

I think there's an argument to be had that we have all seen worse shirt pulls not got given all over the Premier League, so i think if it wasn't given, it wouldn't be overturned. I think the main uproar is how its been handled, the angles and picking and choosing what they do and don't give.

Has anyone seen the penalty Villa should of had were the Chelsea player basically pulls Bogarde back? That's more of a penalty than ours

There’s no “more of a penalty than ours” - they are either penalties or they aren’t.

Both the fouls on young and Bogarde should have been pens, and var should either confirm them or cancel them, removing any so called gray area - that’s the biggest problem with VAR, it’s bent.

Even Dermot Gallagher said it was a pen and var should never have intervened. Also said wrong player was shown for shirt pull. Well I just wonder what will happen to the ref and var.....absolutely nothing as per. Little wonder we hardly ever get a pen.
Well I never! That's got to be a 1st from the screaming skull. I'm shocked.

Still waiting on an official complaint from the club...what's is Everton doing. It was a blatant case of cheating, not incompetence. Still waiting also on the pl apology/explanation.
Exactly what I said yesterday, we're too soft. Take em to the cleaners. There's no way that ref will be in our remaining fixtures (even tho he was the mug in this, accepting var evidence).
And if he is, then make him feel like he can never return to a home game.

Just get rid of it. Yes it helps you sometimes, but it's beyond a joke. City got a penalty against us last season, when clearly Onana couldn't avoid it. Milner handballs it against us VAR doesn't even look at it. Our penalty at Brighton was identical, to Konates handball in derby, yet it wasn't looked at. I don't buy all this bad refereeing nonsense it's just corruption.

Could you imagine the fume and fallout if this decision had gone against the RS... We'd be hearing about it for weeks!
