VAR & rule changes next season...

yeah those liverpool fans were so muted when they got a pen in the champions league final because of var
Hardly a relevant comparison -- even without VAR you always need to hold your emotions in check for a while to allow for the ref deciding to consult his linesman. And that example actually cast a large shadow over the 'fairness' of VAR anyway.

But NFL is full of punctuations in play anyway. Using the system doesn't much elongate play and take all the emotion out of it.
(And by what measurement is it the world's number 1 sport?)

It's the most fair league, every team has the same wage cap. Merchandise and sponsorship shared equally.

For a capulist country they have the most socialist league ever.

Thing is, once VAR is in to check a few things, apparently for the 'obvious' ones but in my opinion thats not always the case, in time, more will be checked and suddenly the game lasts 150 mins and then the commercial guys think hmmm.... that VAR check will take a few mins, time for ad....

I remember Gerrard diving to win a pen against Sheffield United. There was no contact whatsoever. The defender went to tackle him but dummied it and Gerrard dived over thin air. When they were reviewing it the pundits said the ref was right to give the pen for ‘intent to foul’.

No matter how much technology they bring in there are a set of clubs that the powers that run the game have in their interest to win and there’s a set of clubs that they do not care about winning. Sadly we are on one side of the divide and most of the big 6 are on the other.
Actually it was the referee, can’t think of his name, who made that comment.

Thats not the case for the countries that use it now.

I don't know how people can be against it I really don't, The officiating in the PL was probably at an all-time low last season the amount of stuff the RS got away with and stuff that went against us was absolutely insane, I remember us getting robbed at Old Trafford due to a numerous amount of decisions that went against us and Bernard spilling his spaghetti.
Think it'll help the Premiership massively.

The way VAR has been used in la liga has to been to massively enhance the big team bias.

The pressure on refs at OT and Anfield to use VAR to help the home team will be crazy.

Picture the scene, Everton 1-1 Liverpool at Anfield, Liverpool score do you think there is any chance in hell the Ref is checking it out? Everton score and you have 50,000 Kopites roaring at him, he'll not be able to check it quick enough.
