Imagine if this did come off....we’d have investment for sure but it wouldn’t be overnight success.. it would in time enable us to maybe compete with the teams at the top but that would only make us their equals... which obvs isn’t a bad thing.
If I was Usmanov I’d be looking at the long game... the undeveloped area between the liver buildings and Bramley Moore which have untold potential.... we could maybe become part of ‘a huge economic development which includes Everton fc’ type of thing

If he was waiting to come along I do think he would have instructed Moshiri to go for a bigger name manager than both Koeman and Silva and sanctioned funds to sign higher quality players as to try get us in the CL before coming on board.

If he comes I think its a case of Moshiri talking him on board knowing that with his financial muscle they could turn us into a CL club in a new stadium.

Got a horrible feeling he'll rock up at Newcastle or West Ham - hopefully Moshiri talks him away and they dont want to be in competition with one another.

I also think he will assess his options until BMD is granted permission to go ahead. If BMD is given the go ahead I think that's when he'll jump on board I doubt he or Moshiri will buy up more shares until they know that they can grow the club with the new stadium and not buy into a club stuck at GP.

I agree it wasn't planned. I think he genuinely wanted to get control of Arsenal but with Kroenke refusing to sell or give him influence he decided to get out. Will be interesting to see if he comes here

Very very unlikely. Would you pay 400M to buy Newcastle and then on top need to spend another 300M on players? At the end of the day he will still struggle to get much return out of that. If he buys say AC Milan it would be something similar to that too.

If he buys another PL team he would also pee-off his long time friend by making it one more team Everton could not compete with. Doesn't make sense why two people who are that close would do that to each other.

They are just waiting it out, he doesn't want to do the dirty on Arsenal 5 minutes after selling up and possibly add uncertainty over the stadium funding with the council, added to that don't we need planning permission to buy out Kenwright and co anyhow? After that is sorted he will then be able to buy in here for what 150M and have potential of least his shares going up in value. How many clubs can you rock up next to the stadium in your super yacht all for that price? Good as done in my book, the only thing that would stop it if he goes to the toilet and does an Elvis on us.
