You are absolutely right mate and it wasn't my intention to deny them credit. Bill deserves credit for sticking with managers and rooting us in the community while developing the academy.

Moyes had us competing with sides with budgets well above our own.

Martinez produced football that again was beyond what our revenue streams would indicate.

All 3 deserve credit for aspects of what they did on the football sides of things. You make a good point and I should have made that clearer.

I suppose you would be looking at the first season really. Our wage bill relative to the position that season means he deserves some credit. Unfortunately he didn't build on it. As I said originally though I'm not sure that was ever going to be his strength.

With respect lads, this thread isnt about the success, failure, or net spend of former managers.

Its a ridiculous flight of fancy, (or is it?) that a bloke with a decent credit rating might be raiding his piggy bank.
