Excited to see what the Naming Rights deal will work out as - I imagine the rumoured figure of £20 million per year will be true but would be brilliant if they did a big £30-40 million per year deal and do a Man City to pump up the accounts.

With Moshiri reducing influence in USM it makes me wonder if that could be the reason with that "conflict of interest'.

If £20mil a year and we can use it on transfer fees...

2 Players for £50mil each on 5 year deals.

= £10mil each a year...or £20mil.

So we may be able to spash that cash on top of sales and any preplanned transfer budget.

I imagine the naming rights will be sold as paying towards the stadium when announced but whats important is that it will still be considered revenue coming into the club therefore the owners can hypothetically "invest" more money in transfers without falling foul of FFP rules.

Ultimately the source of the money comes from the same people but if it helps get around FFP whilst also ensuring we have to loan less from a bank to pay for BMD then its a win win for us.

Just a shame we will be giving said money to Brands to waste on more players not suited to English Football.

The USM Dixie Dean Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Or
The USM Holy Trinity stadium

I do like the idea of the name having a link with our past, and honestly, of all the naming rights deals you could have, I think USM sounds and looks fairly classy and unobtrusive. Even USM Finch Farm doesn't scream naming rights deal, it's fairly understated, and could be much worse.
And with it being initials, would likely be still be known locally by whatever name followed it, unlike the Emirates or Etihad etc.

I am more interested in the talent on the pitch which will be bought by the revenue the new stadium will generate , than the name on the outside of the stadium
It will always be called Bramley Moore or BMD by the fans let Sky and BT use the sponsors name
Like New Zealand and the Cake Tin.
In Australia the ABC have no adds and still call the SunCorp Stadium Lang Park
