It means nothing concrete tho right now to suggest usmanov is coming they are pals remember.

Yes certainly, nothing concrete. But we've been speculating on the possibility of a Moshiri-Usmanov team-up at Everton on here quite a lot, and the Finch Farm sponsorship is substantial evidence that they keep on aligning their paths. That's all I mean with "interesting times ahead". Nothing to suggest Usmanov is coming, you´re quite right. But to a layman it's hard to see this sponsor activity as an act of strictly "helping out a friend in need". Sure, sponsorships are a way to boost the club budget that's compliant with FFP in a different way than direct investment from a club owner. But it's not like Usmanov is reaching out to bail out an old pal who's football venture is on the brink of a financial collapse.
