A lad sitting behind me at goodison this year celebrated their first and got told to shut it...when he celebrated their second in a similar manner, he ended up 3 rows in front of the one he started in getin his head smashed in! If he had of listened to the gentle warning he got then he would of got away with it the stupid ****. You can get away with a bit but if you find yourself surrounded by men then you gotta use ure head!!!! You could probably proper take the piss if you got lucky an ended up by women an kids but you gotta keep ur smarts about ya...

...but then again if we went 2 -0 up there I cant imagine me sittin on my hands to be fair!! Maybe it is about luck an who u end up near.

[Poor language removed] that, your in their end and we score then you celebrate and take whatever comes with that.

have a ticket but like that its in their end so prob wont go so where are the best pubs around the city centre to watch the game?

If im lucky enough (or unlucky enough in some ways) I might be able to get a derby ticket in the home end.

Was just wondering whether it would be ok to get away with everton colours? obviously not over the top but for example a scarf or something.

Also has anyone been in the Liverpool end when we have scored and celebrated, whats the overall reaction of kopites?

You'd better wear your Everton colours. I see the little ****es proudly sporting their replica 06 Carlsberg jerseys right behind me, ****ing knuts.

anyone who dislikes the mancs more than libpool needs there heads testing. I suppose not being from the city doesn't help.

also I despise Liverpool and every last one of them and make no apology for that. I don't know many evertonians who don't feel the same either.

i hate liverpool as a club, but it seems a bit daft to me people saying "dont sit with them they're murderers" when a good deal of my mates are rs, and i'm sure that persons mates are too

dont get me wrong football sends people weird like. but youll be fine

I have been in the Home end at Anfield a few times. Hate it. I go there with the best intentions of behaving and always end up chanting Everton songs at the top of my voice. Never goes down well.
Regarding it being better years ago my brother was in the Kop when Sharpie scored the best goal in the history of football, He got punched and kicked and broke his glasses. He wouldn't hurt a fly and is one of the nicest blokes you could meet.
He is actually quite reserved too (not like me). I hate them with a passion. Derby games are always tense though and even more so when you are sat in the enemies end. Just like any situation though a lot depends on the nature of those around you.

I was in the Kop for that and several others in the 80's. Always seemed to me like we owned about a third of it on the left hand side. One of them there were so many shall we say less than authentic tickets that loads got marched out to sit around the hoardings

when Kev the Rat scored that was, at the end we ended up leaving by going down the touchline and out in far corner.

Ive never been in our end in a derby at anfield, never had a problem either...general rule of thumb, act like a bulb in the wrong end of either ground and you'll get filled in, use a bit of nous about where you are, and who your surrounded by, and you;ll be fine.

Most blues ive ever known at anfield was the game where gary speed equalized late on, i was in the upper centenary kop end that night and it must av been 50-50 fan-wise in the little section i was in...if i remember right that game originally got called off for a waterlogged pitch so they must have had loads of returns from wools who couldnt make the re-arranged game and the tickets were snapped up by blues.

The 'waterlogged' pitch was in a fact is pish sodden pitch caused by a sewer collapsing due to the concrete deteriorating at the front of the end.

A sodden piss patch pitch.

No need for kudos. If that lad tried mouthing off like that to 99% of Blues he'd get told to shut up or worse. There's a knuckle dragging element with every team but society has moved on from all that. Personally I was still in short trousers at the time of Heysel but can clearly appreciate that hooliganism of one sort or another was rife in the English game. I don't believe Liverpool were any worse than any other big teams and heaven only knows what could have happened had Everton been playing in that rundown stadium that night.

If you were in short trousers then you're not really qualified to offer an opinion on whether Liverpool were any worse than any other team.

Or what would have happened if we had played at that stadium.

Let's just agree to disagree then but don't make assumptions about me or my background thanks. Football is great for bravado but in your post following this you condone violence.

I cannot 'hate' Liverpool or their fans and I know of countless Evertonians that feel the same. Rivalry and banter is one thing but "despising every last one of them" is going a bit far when presumably you have many friends and workmates (if not family) that follow Liverpool?

For me having United (and to a lesser extent now City) as number one 'enemy' is so much easier and plausible. Each to their own.
