If you were in short trousers then you're not really qualified to offer an opinion on whether Liverpool were any worse than any other team.

Or what would have happened if we had played at that stadium.

I was about 9 when Heysel happened. I'd been to plenty of matches by that point so had some sense of footy was like in the mid-80s but no I wasn't running around with a stanley knife. Short of someone overseeing a big investigation into the whole thing I don't really think anyone is going to be more qualified to be honest. If you were in the middle of those goings on in the 80s then you'd have a first hand view but it would undoubtedly be biased by your personal experiences wouldn't it?

I have never seen any stats to show that Liverpool fans were any worse than any other teams in the 80s. Perhaps you have?

Likewise there's plenty of evidence from what went on at the 1984 final to show that the Italians weren't saints either.

The stadium should have been condemned and was not fit to host any match of that magnitude. Given that fact and the history above I think it's very reasonable to just be very glad that Everton were not in that match on that day.

I'll give you one stat that says they were worse than anyone else at that time.

39 people dead.

39 people who were chased and chased again. And again.
Even though it was clear they didn't want to fight.

That 39 lives were lost is a tragedy. The stadium was not fit for purpose as was the security provisions. To tar a club and all their fans with a "murderers" brush is sick joke. You do Everton a disservice by carrying on with that line of attack.

You said you haven't seen any stats that say they were worse than anybody. I provided you with some facts.

That's all.

hes right tho imo, bit daft saying all kopites are murderers if youre a scouser and are mates with some

unless you're just that immature

i would prefer to call them the deluded always-the-victims lot that they are, which is actually what most of the fans are, even ones i'm sure we're all chummy with, rather than being murderers

Nail on the head mate.Like it or not Dell Boy Liverpool FC have blood on their hands over what happened that night.Of course the vast majority of Liverpool fans are decent people and we all have friends who are kopites but what happened that night happened.39 innocent Juventus fans lost their lives due to the behavior of Liverpool fans.

Was a one off incident. To Persist with the murdererss line is sad, pathetic and shameful for our great club.

Let's just agree to disagree then but don't make assumptions about me or my background thanks. Football is great for bravado but in your post following this you condone violence.

I cannot 'hate' Liverpool or their fans and I know of countless Evertonians that feel the same. Rivalry and banter is one thing but "despising every last one of them" is going a bit far when presumably you have many friends and workmates (if not family) that follow Liverpool?

For me having United (and to a lesser extent now City) as number one 'enemy' is so much easier and plausible. Each to their own.
condone violence ? Well yeah I suppose I do if your daft enough to jump up in the other teams end then face the consequences that may come with it. Shove the friendly derby up your arse
