The first film is still to this day the scariest film I've ever seen. Looks like they're taking it back to it's roots after a poor 2nd movie.

Not seen the original but just looked at the trailer which suggest it's based on true events! Might give it a go later.
It's not really based on true events. I think it's loosely inspired by a couple of crimes. First one is very scary, second one is a bit meh.
Saw the trailer for this at Dune, looks nuts, kinda surprised they're even allowed to make a film like this in today's political climate over there.
