Problem with new Alien films is there's just nowhere really to go with them. Prometheus was the first interesting thing in years. Now it's just back to "oh we're stuck on a ship in space with an alien trying to kill us".

Alien3 said we can get various types of the beast, that one came from a dog for instance. There's back story to reveal with Burke and Ash and the first (?) ship that turned up before Nostromo (as well as the warning beacon). If the beast is the ultimate weapon, are human squads pitted against them for sport on a planet somewhere?
On a parallel line, 'Predators' was a solid reboot, some good actors, some oppressive claustrophobia, pressure cooker environment, back stories, common goal. Done well.

Predator is a different character though isn't it. Aliens are mindless monsters, of sorts, maybe something of a hive mind. But Predators are human like and can even become anti-hero's like in the comic (I think).

Some sort of stripped back Alien film such as they did with Prey would be wicked though. I do prefer the Xeno lore to Pred lore.

Always thought the 'Earth War' storyline had massive potential, despite Sigourney Weavers reluctance. Just the visuals alone as cities fall would be epic.

I was under the impression the next Alien film was going to focus in on the androids more.

Noticed Fassbender isn't cast (or secretly) so **** knows what ideas they have in place.
There was a scene in the trailer of a facehugger jumping at someone, whilst someone/thing was stood close to where it jumped from, so maybe there is some truth in the Android idea.

If you think like a Hollywood writer, then then it's all heading to one inevitable logical story arc...

Predator tries to splice Alien's DNA with his own, because he's always trying to improve himself and evolve into the perfect hunter and we're going to end up some sort of Alien/Predator hybrid which the Predator can't control and then the sh.t will hit the fan!

*Taps nose. I'm calling it! You heard it hear first.

At least that's what I'd do.

It's gotta be the other way round... With some sort of mutated genetic nightmare, with loads of gore as well.

There's still loads of potential, if they handle it right.

I think Keaton's performances of late would suggest he has, birdman and Dopesick especially. Even The Flash becomes watchable because of him.

Always liked him, then found out he was tapping Courtney Cox in her early 20's and knew he was a baller.
