There seems to be the belief that because Unsworth was a tough uncomprising defender that he will coach in a similar manner.
What I have heard and read from him and about him seems to indicate that he is a student of the game.Time will show us what he brings to the table.

Her was an average player, by enlarge they make better coaches than the really top fancy dans

Bought into a mentality that ultimately led to an F.A Cup and Charity Shield within the space of a couple of months though, more than can be said about most Everton players of the last 15 years...

Not a dig, but having him and Dunc from that so called Dogs of War team should open the eyes of a few youngsters who may think above themselves.

If any of you haven't read the interview with him last week about the state of English football you really should- the guy has a brain, has a vision, and in the right environment and infrastructure like at our club he can do very well for us i feel

I never really saw him play but having only that Telegraph interview to go on definitely gives me great hope. I see people criticising him for being a long ball hoof-it-up, safety-first type defender, maybe he is referring to himself when he talks about how the continent coach football whereas we coach that.

Hopefully he'll have a bit of character(He seems that type) as well as being a good coach. It counts for a lot as a coach.
