Unsworth

Always thought he was dead cool when I was little because his penalties were boss and he did some major crunching tackles.

My mate played for him at Preston and said he's the soundest guy ever but proper scary when angry.

Unsworth was booed at Goodison lads, not sure on the specific games, one game he done not one but 2 backpasses what the opposition scored from, Sheffield wed maybe? Think Ipswich might of been the other game. I was a season ticket holder (not that it matters) and went to every away game between 97 and 02 and the majority for the rest of his career (again not that it matter) he was never a crowd favorite until he retired, its like saying Neville was a crowd fave because half our fans like him and half didn't.

Comparing Unsworth to Neville. Well I never. You're either on drugs, on a wind-up or a registered halfwit.

Im not saying he was a crowd favourite, I loved him, but my mate, who I went to every game with hated him.

Im pretty sure the team was getting booed, I dont recall Unsworth ever getting booed tho, history is playing tricks with your mind, im pretty sure you will be the only person to claim Unsworth was booed.

I think you should take the tinted specs off, as much as Rhino was an icon he was never actually that good, he wouldn't even be good enough to dislodge Distin in today's side and he'd be nowhere near the mid 80s side. Hinchcliffe was better than him and as a centre half I'd have big Dave Watson over him everyday who wasn't even that good

Compared to some of the dross we he had playing for us around the turn of the centenary he was like Cannavaro and Desaiily rolled into one.

Now I can tolerate some whopper having a pop at Unsworth but you just leave Dave Watson put of this! He was a legend in every way.

*I only said potentially in the 85 team. I think he could have given psycho Van Den Hauwe a run that's all

Have a read of this especially his second spell and I'll have my apologies in writing :-)

You can whistle. That link is so poor it is unreal. Whoever wrote that article needs to take a serious look at themselves.

Of course Unsworth was no Maldini but at the top of his game he was a beast that would run through walls for us. Maybe it's a different type of fan that boos his own players. I just don't recognise it.

I don't need to whistle you said he was never booed I provided proof he was from an Everton site, why would I or it lie. I hated Neville and I hated Unsworth but I never would of booed them and I dont agree with it but it happened and on more than one occasion with Unsworth.
