Agree if you remember before he went to Arsenal most of us wanted him, if you take this quarter of the season out we would all be going no chance him coming here. I’m not saying he is the one but he is a good Coach he has the honours to back it.

We are in a mad position of turning our noses up at the prospect of getting in multiple trophy winning managers at PSG and Bayern Munich whilst championing a bloke who has won one game, our sworn enemy who manages in China, another who manages in China with a similar record to the bloke we have just sacked and a, well, a David Moyes.

He didn't really "fail" at PSG. He didn't win the champions league. Something they have never won.

I rate him still but I don't want him because some of our fans are seemingly against him already.

We really need someone who the majority want and those who are not sure are at least willing to give him a go. Gallardo seems to be the only realistic candidate who ticks that box and that's because he is an unknown quantity to many.

He wasnt brought in to PSG for domestic trophies though. He was brought in to get the CL. There was no way back after the embarrassing 6-1 2nd leg tie at barca. I remember sitting there watching that. He looked like a rabbit in the headlights on the side of the pitch. As good as barca were PSG were abysmal the way they caved in.

Which is fine, but we could also potentially be a championship team under him, if he continued to struggle to setup a defence in the way he has done at Arsenal. Whereas, although there's no guarantees, I'd be confident Eddie Howe, or Dyche, or Wilder etc would keep the club in the PL.
Have you looked at Howe and Dyches recent results?

True but we are not in that position yet anyway. Horses for course and all that. For now we want him to do a Sevilla rather than a PSG and cross that bridge when we get to it.

Sevilla were even a funny team under him. Already said on here today i used to put money on any team sevilla were away to as they lost so many. Bookies kept giving great odds so i wasnt complaining.
At home though. They were something else.

Emery hasnt turned into a bad manager, but his credibility has taken a big knock.

My concern would be his leadership abilities, as mentioned elsewhere.

We have a lot of players that are capable of more, but produce far less. That suggests to me that there is somewhat of an attitude problem at Finch Farm, and it needs a strong manager to instill discipline and consistency of application.

I don't think a tactician like Emery is well suited to getting the best from them. The respect he would command from the squad has to be tarnished from his recent experience.

He didn't come out well from asking the Arsenal squad to have a vote on the team captaincy and there were reports some of the senior players there sniggering at his accent. These things would concern me. Things like that wouldn't happen under a manager that everyone regarded as "the boss".

We need a strong personality, a character, with big enough shoulders to drag this club, and the players, upwards.

Dude can’t speak proper English...imagine his motivational rally speech, he would sound as a clown...

Yeah couldn’t agree more probably won’t be him anyway but managers like him and kovac are the level we need at least.
