Emery was my preference for manager after Martinez but despite approaches from Everton at the time he knew he was a rising star and we weren't big enough for him. Not sure if anything is likely to have changed since.

I don’t think that’s how managers with talent and ambition think. If the candidate does think like that it’s a good job they job us!!
