I'm hoping that's the case mate. It would also be something to hold onto regarding Moshiri: if he actually maintained a point of view for more than a couple of months on football related matters then I might start thinking of him less as the completely flaky Sam Hammam owner that he seems to be.

Same answer in part though: why do you think he's realistic for us? He's not within our orbit so maybe we should draw a line under him and move on to best of the realistic targets, which so far for me is Silva. We are where we are...and placed there by a combination of a clueless Dutchman and Moshiri.

I'm open to a better manager than him, I dont champion Silva as a great manager. I just dont see such a manager coming to us.

Emery is a good manager not a world class manager so I don’t for a second believe he is too big for us.

I think he’s a decent level of ambition for us but by no means out of our reach..

The only thing that bothers me about Emery is that he appeared to lose control at PSG when Neymar was doing
whatever he liked time and again.

I'd be worried about smartarse players at whichever club he goes to trying it on with him.

He has a proven record in the football side of coaching, but maybe not in areas of discipline.
