So you ask a lady out, she flat out rejects you for a bloke with more money. He gets bored of her after a couple of years.

Do you:

a. Go back to her running like a spineless wuss begging for a date?

b. Forget she ever existed and sit back and laugh as she now begs any bloke that will take her out for a date to knock on her door?
Football is not love and the same emotions dont apply.

A better analogy is so you want to partner with a key and very good distributor to further your business. He gets a better offer from another company and he rejects you and working with you. However, the other company decides to work with someone else, and your business is still badly in need of a good distributor.

Do you:

A. Get over the previous rejection and partner with the distributor, knowing you will greatly increase revenue and profits?

B. Act like a petulant child and say "NO, we refuse to work with this company whos really good at what they do"?

All depends if she lets me boot her back door in.

The only thing that bothers me about Emery is that he appeared to lose control at PSG when Neymar was doing
whatever he liked time and again.

I'd be worried about smartarse players at whichever club he goes to trying it on with him.

He has a proven record in the football side of coaching, but maybe not in areas of discipline.

That club spent over £200m on Neymar. They prioritized him over everything and everyone else at that club.

He would have faaarrrrr more sway here than at PSG

If we had players as good as Neymar it would ease my worries a bit

I did say smartarse players, ie. stupid. And Everton would back Emery, no doubt, but the fact that
that situation arose would mean that there is some disruption to deal with.

It probably wouldn't happen, I know, but it's a possibility.

We should be throwing the kitchen sink at this guy. European pedigree.
would
We won’t though - it’ll be another easy appointment like silva. Nice and comfortable.

Lack of ambition.

Looks like going for Silva could still end up costing us 10 million. Maybe Emery is the cheaper option. Agree with you though, heaven and earth should be moved for this chap.

With the money the club pays managers of late, you think we could at least get guys like Emery to sit down and meet with Moshiri and co.

Emery wont get considered for any top job any more because he isnt good enough... Good cup manager but his league record is massively underwhelming
