Bizarre idea

Angry that they would consider it but also find it hilarious that they think these people would fight. They would simply put their arms down or stand on the other side of the line.

This is something that is probably more understood by Russians than the West - the Red Army made extensive use of penal battalions during the Great Patriotic War, using them to clear mines / encourage the Germans to waste ammunition and save the Soviet state the expense of housing and feeding the detainee.

It is indeed quite sad that the good people of Russia are caught up in this, as well as the poor soldiers conscripted into a war under seeming false-pretenses due to the act of a corrupt madman. But what else is there to do in the absence of all out war involving numerous countries? And you certainly can't blame the Ukranian army and people for bravely and effectively fighting back.

But what else is there to do in the absence of all out war involving numerous countries? And you certainly can't blame the Ukranian army and people for bravely and effectively fighting back.

Whilst I have some sympathy for them they are not getting shelled in their homes and the surrendering Russian soldiers are being well treated, urgently need some kind of anti missile defense system if planes in the sky remain off the table.

The sad reality is that it is probably never going to happen. If it was going to happen they probably should have done it before the cities started burning.
