I've just posted the enitre BBC article Kev if you care to read. His predecessor accused VZ of being a Russian symapthiser. That's the article FDB posted...

I also will repeat, I don't think VZ seems like some clean politician who should be worshipped. But yes, right now, he is defending his country against an unjustified invasion

Asked about election posters that were used by his campaign during last year's election, suggesting that a vote for Mr Zelensky was effectively a vote for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mr Poroshenko said he had been proved right."

Not sure I would be hitching my wagon to this Poroshenko fellow....seems a nutcase who has been proven very wrong very quickly.

Still, it doesn't justify the russian invasion. It does leave the question: all these weapons we send, who will get them & for what will they be used.

People like Kev are always about whataboutism and false equivalencies. I understand mostly they are just trying to be funny, or appear to be insightful, but mostly it's just moronic

That's absolutely a worry

But the above link proves only that he was accused. Poroshenko also accused Zelinskiy of being a 'Russian fifth columnist' (you posted that link) - which look, is clearly untrue!

Yeah, like we've done with RT now then? Because Russia have backed an invasion of Ukraine since 2014? And his entire election campaign - I've read up on it - was about a) trying to improve relations but b) protecting Ukraine from Russia propaganda

I don’t disagree, but I’d willingly listen and consider anyone’s point of view if they had a defined ideology.

Johnson only has one. Him.

It’s only important if you believe we as a country should be doing everything in our power to support Ukraine.

I don’t believe we are, but Johnson standing in front of tanks emblazoned with Jingo Jacks will convince many that we are.
