Putin has made Russia look weak and vulnerable. Even their buddies in China are talking about the situation.

Said this for years the Chinese will go for it at some point to get land that was traditionally thiers but taken away by various treaties when they were weak. Manchuria ect.
Russia has expelling Chinese people from border regions for years as the ethnic makeup was not in the right balance as they see it.
Basically filling it up with various groups, lot of Jewish people after the war ect to say it majority Russia speaking ect same old pattern .
China will definitely make a move at some piont and Russia can do next to nothing about it, can't use it's normal game of throwing people into the meat grinder as they have more of them than the enemy as China will easily Trump them at that game.
Russia would have no allies to call on so would look good for them.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if the yanks and China were in dialogue over this. Take what you need from Russia and it will be recognised then leave Taiwan alone.
